More About Riley Collins

Riley Collins is an educator, labor organizer, and scholar of K-12 teacher movements. She is a doctoral candidate in Education at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and her research explores the social and political context of teachers’ work. Her current project examines the formation of racial and gendered labor solidarities in Chicago and New Orleans in the 1930s and today. She is published by Harvard Education Press, the International Encyclopedia of Education, and Globalisation, Societies and Education. Her recognitions include the Jefferson Parish High School Teacher of the Year Award and the University of California Chancellor’s Dissertation Fellowship Award.
